The position

We are seeking an experienced air quality engineer or scientist who wants to join a friendly business with a focus on career and personal fulfilment. You will be based in our South Brisbane office (Eat, Drink, Shop, Play and Stay – Visit Brisbane), but your field work may take you from beaches to inner city bars, from regional mines to busy construction sites, and a whole lot more in between.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality service for our clients and our internal team, managing modelling and other projects in air quality and greenhouse gas assessments, as well as assisting with air monitoring work.
You will also have a vision for being a leader in the air modelling service, with guidance from the air quality managers, and a strong desire to develop the modelling capabilities of less experienced team members.

The successful candidate
Our successful candidate will have:
- A degree in engineering or science relevant to air quality
- At least four years’ experience in air quality
- Experience in at least two of WRF, TAPM, Calpuff, Aermod, or Gral
- Excellent communication skills and excellent English report writing skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and complete work within specified timeframes
- Business development experience such as technical presentations and working with private sector clients
- Desirable to have CAQP
- Willingness to live in Brisbane
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment
- Current Covid-19 vaccinations
- Preferably, a light vehicle driver’s licence.

We have a flexible working hours policy to assist work/life balance. Base salary will range from $90,000 to $140,000, depending on relevant experience, and we provide generous bonuses for good performance.
