Sanjeev is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in environmental engineering with 19 years of international oil and gas industry experience across Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He specialises in greenhouse gas (GHG) management, sustainability, and environmental performance improvement for projects and complex oil and gas assets.
At Trinity Australia, Sanjeev leverages his breadth of industry experience to lead our Sustainability and Climate Change service offering.
Prior to joining Trinity, Sanjeev worked with Shell in the Netherlands and Australia, where he led environmental and GHG reporting, emissions reduction initiatives, carbon capture and storage projects, implementation of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), LNG emissions certification such as MiQ, and transparent methane emissions reporting according to the Oil & Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP 2.0) under the Paris Climate Agreement. His work spanned Shell-operated and non-operated assets in Australia and globally.
Sanjeev also spent significant time in the Middle East, managing environmental regulatory compliance for multi-billion-dollar projects across greenfield and brownfield oil and gas facilities and refineries throughout MENA and Asia. In these roles, he ensured alignment with company standards, local regulations, and International Finance Corporation (IFC) and World Bank performance standards.
Earlier in his career, after completing a master’s degree in environmental engineering, Sanjeev developed his consulting foundation through work on environmental impact assessments for regulatory approvals, environmental due diligence, and climate change initiatives under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Kyoto Protocol Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). He thrives on helping clients navigate evolving sustainability and climate-related challenges within complex regulatory environments.
Beyond work, he enjoys outdoor activities in the sun and spending quality time with family and friends.
